Tasty fast food restaurant chain Silver Mine Subs tapped into Mosaic Music again for a third year to write and produce a uniquely campy radio jingle for their western mining themed franchise. The songs are a series of throwback ditties that feature western style guitars, fiddles and an occasional harmonica.
_____________________________________ OVERDRIVE Rich Rankin composed an original
symphonic score for worldwide vehicle, engine and service company
Navistar. Keep and ear out for the piece in national auto shows
and commercial broadcasts.
_____________________________________ On THE FLOOR Independent dance music mogul,
singer, producer, re-mixer Georgie Porgie (Music Plant Records) has
been busy recording vocals for a handful of songs at Mosaic
Music. Mosaic's Rich Rankin is engineering and has also played
guitar on one of GP's latest records "Hold On To Peace" featuring
vocalist Richard Rogers. In addition to the many talented artists
on his label, Georgie's discography includes remix and production work
for such notable artists as Michael Jackson, Crystal Waters, Deborah
Harry and Spice Girls.

film "The Legend of Bloody Mary". The film was directed by John
Stecenko with Executive Producer Joseph Domingo. The songs were

Larin and Slings
& Arrows.

hired electronic music artist Kate Simko as assistant producer.
She has released music as "Detalles" (with Chilean Andres Bucci) and has
solo material coming out on Philip Glass' label OMM, Chocolate
Industries and Badman. A classically trained pianist Kate
is a graduate of Northwestern University's Music Technology
program and has also studied at the University of Miami and in

BALL Mosaic's Rich Rankin with members
of the Off The Street Club Band at the "Bozo Ball," a WGN-TV Children's Charity blacktie event to benefit the Off
The Street Club in
Chicago. This is Mosaic's 8th year arranging, producing and
coordinating a featured live music performance at the event which this
year raised well over $240,000.
KYM FRANKLIN CD Rich Rankin has completed co-writing and co-producing an album project for inspirational retro-soul artist Kym Franklin. The CD contains a mixture of R&B, soul and gospel influences. In addition to a lineup of brilliant musicians, Rich played guitars, keys and percussion on the project. Kym is just back from a successful tour in Switzerland and recently performed songs from the CD on superstation WGN-TV in Chicago.

Nationally syndicated reality show "Starting Over" shot in Chicago and produced by hitmakers Bunim/Murray (Real World, Road Rules, The Simple Life) tapped Rich Rankin to produce three songs for Audrey Tucker, an aspiring singer/songwriter in the cast. A camera crew followed Rich around in the recording studio documenting the entire process; the episodes aired on NBC in 95 markets.
______________________________________ A LITTLE FARTHER EAST . . . Distinguished Indian musicians Sudha Raghuraman, Bejjanki Krishna and G. Raghuraman, while in Chicago, chose Mosaic for a recording project co-produced and mixed by Rich Rankin. The famed artists all come from traditional families of renowned Indian musicians.
